WHO WE ARE
We are a freediving community that promotes and practices safe one-breath diving. We have a strong focus on safety, relaxation, sustainability, community and conservation of ocean dwelling creatures. We acknowledge and respect the traditional owners, past, present and emerging of the land and waters in which we practice. We are like-minded ocean lovers, joining to learn and develop one breath diving and find sustenance, adventure and restoration in the ocean.
Club life
Club life is managed using a private members only facebook group called Kimberley Freedive Club Members. Diving in Broome is highly seasonal due to the changing winds and water conditions. We pool train during the wet. From March on we do some trips within the Kimberley, and run a 3 month spearfishing competition. We do a lot of line diving from June - September. Annual events include a working be at the Broome Wildlife center, Shark week (safety focus), trips to Port Smith, The big day out, and the KFC ball.
